Here’s what to look forward to at FLIBS 2019

Fort Lauderdale Boat Show (FLIBS) is just around the corner, opening on October 30th and running until the 3rd November, and the excitement is palpable within the industry. With over 15,000 boats on display and exhibitors from more than 50 countries, FLIBS 2019 has come along way since its beginnings in 1959, when just 13 vessels were on display. It is now the world’s leading in-water boat show, and is celebrating its 60th anniversary with the premiere of a dedicated Superyacht Village, displaying a range of exquisite superyachts, toys, helicopters, submarines and cars. With so much to look forward to, we wanted to round up the best yacht launches, seminars, and events to attend while there.

Hotly-anticipated yacht launches at FLIBS 2019

With a total of 15 new build yachts promised to be on display, including one world premiere, and over 15,000 boats in total, that’s a lot of yacht tours to fit into just five days!

65-foot LY650 by Marquis & Lexus

Lovers of the Lexus luxury car brand are in for a treat, as the exclusive company has teamed up with Marquis Yachts and legendary yacht design studio Nuvolari Lenard to take the elegance of Lexus to the seas. It might not be a superyacht in size, but it is certainly super in every other way.

27-metre LEVEN 90 by LeVen Yachts

Promising a unique jet-nozzle propulsion system that cuts through shallow water with ease, proven on commercial and military vessels but never used before on private yachts, this yacht is generating a great deal of buzz. We can’t wait to see what this vessel can do, with the design also claimed to lower noise and vibration while improving fuel efficiency.

FLIBS 2019 will also wow with ASYMMETRIC, whose unusual design takes influence from nature. Sanlorenzo shipyard threw typical yacht design out the window with this stunning boat, allowing her guests to enjoy greater usability of the interior spaces and better access to the exterior.  Don’t miss her…
