Federico has a unique design aesthetic is his superyacht designs. They have very contemporary lines, with hints of classic styling all the while keeping a very low, long and sleek profile. This Explorer superyacht is another example of this type of design. It’s very nice looking.
After the previous public disclosure of the sinuous and sleek lines of The Belafonte, Federico Fiorentino tries to catch the eye with the rugged attitude of the military inspired Queequeg expedition superyacht. The name of the project is not casual and clearly recalls adventure at sea and, as the unique Melville’s character, the yacht is characterized by a strong exterior look with a calm, generous, simple and hardworking soul. With this completely different project Federico Fiorentino continues in his attempt of designing unique yachts, trying to create something with a strong personality, love it or hate it. Queequeg is an outstanding vessel characterized by razor-sharp lines underlined by a bow that, as frequently happens on Fiorentino’s designs, plays an important role in defining the overall style of the yacht. Queequeg accommodates up to 12 guests in six cabins, as well as 13 crew in total. The magnificent 88 sqm owner’s suite located on the upper deck features a reserved access to a private panoramic terrace equipped with an enclosed gym and a skeet area. A full beam 80 sqm VIP suite is located forward on the main deck, while two doubles and two twins are located on the lower deck. With ocean crossing capability, the yacht is conceived to be able to explore and sail in every sea from the French Riviera to the Antarctic in absolute comfort and safety. The keyword onboard this yacht is Entertainment, in fact the yacht not only offers a large number of water toys but also access to a lot of alternative activities that could be enjoyed onboard. The most peculiar example is a unique multifunctional ‘Virtual Room’ that can be used as a Cinema, Golf Course or Shooting Range. A Spa & Wellness center with a panoramic sea view is located astern, under the generous swimming pool area. The garage can easily accommodate two tenders as for example a 6.5 m RIB and a 8.5 m Limo tender. A possible variation without the astern pool carries oversized tenders and toys on the aft deck, like for example a 10m military patrol RIB designed by Federico Fiorentino himself for an actual military contract. The wide Helideck platform with an enclosed pool on the upper deck completes the outfit of this outstanding yacht for the ultimate adventure. Queequeg could easily adopt a more efficient Diesel-Electric propulsion and pod transmissions to cut fuel consumption and emissions.
