Recap of the 2019 Monaco Yacht Show

This edition of the Monaco Yacht Show was from far one of the most memorable. While the previous year were more than respectable, 2019 marked the yachting season with the attendance of multiple 100m+ yachts in Port Hercules.

Amadea one of the finest Lurssen recently built, managed by Imperial was introduced for the first time to the yachting community. With an asking price over 300m euros, she is one of the most expensive brokerage yacht in the world. At 106m she was only the second largest yacht in the harbour.

TIS was another highlight of the show with a length of 111m and a striking blue hull. The classic interior is inspired from French mansions from the 19th century, one might say, perfectly styled for an exigent eastern european owner. The yacht is presented for sale by Lurssen directly while the construction was managed by Moran.

Octopus was the yacht of the late Paul Allen, one of Microsoft founder, who passed just a few months ago. The yacht is now introduced for sale by Fraser & Burgess. The mother of all explorer yacht, at 126m, is both the first true explorer superyacht built and the largest. Paul Allen used the vessel both for large gathering and entertaining as well as exploration for scientific or historical purposes. The yacht contributed in the discovery of a sunken destroyer from WWII in the pacific.
