Built by Arctech in Finland, Baltika is the first icebreaker with an asymmetric hull, allowing her to sail at angle in order to create a larger canal. She can indeed cruise with her stern pointing at 90° from her route. This allow her to create route for giant ships despite her reduced size. This ships will from now on requires only one icebreaker despite of two.
This ships open a route in the ice by climbing on it, breaking it thanks to her mass and removing the growlers with her stern so they do not accumulate on the front.
